NEW CUSTOMER ACQUISITION THROUGH TARGETED PARTNER MARKETING

BBBank is the largest cooperative retail bank in Germany. As a modern digital bank with a nationwide branch network, it offers convenient services and high-quality advice. The bank manages approximately 41 billion euros in customer business volume, has 490,000 members, and a total balance sheet of around 22 billion euros. Its business model places customers at the center and is socially, ecologically, and economically sustainable.

MORE VISIBILITY, MORE CUSTOMERS, MORE IMPACT.

The objective was to expand BBBank’s online presence and acquire new customers via affiliate marketing. At the same time, we planned to increase reach through publisher partnerships, and position the brand long-term in relevant online environments.

SOLUTION

STRATEGICALLY CONNECTED: PUBLISHERS, SEA, AND CUSTOMER LIFECYCLE MOMENTS.

To kick things off, we implemented a broad publisher strategy using netzeffekt’s in-house network FinanceQuality.


The goal was to make BBBank visible in as many relevant contexts as possible – focusing on thematically aligned publishers such as checking account comparison portals, as well as deal and discount platforms.

 

The strategic approach was key: target audiences and life phases were analyzed to ensure presence exactly when users were open to switching or opening accounts.

 

Particular attention was paid to close coordination with other channels – especially SEA. The targeted alignment of affiliate and SEA activities created synergy effects and enabled more efficient budget usage.

 

One of the biggest challenges was BBBank’s limited online presence at the start of the campaign – especially outside its regional core market. This visibility gap was significantly reduced through the measures implemented by netzeffekt.
